Tie-Dye Experience
Tie-dye, known as hank dye, is a traditional and extraordinary dyeing process in Chinese folk. The tie-dye is divided into two processes, namely tying and dyeing. The plants are dyed in various forms by tying, sewing and clamping the fabric through the tools such as yarn and rope. As a unique dyeing and pattern design, the modern tie-dye inherits the culture just like traditional tie-dye, and also constantly makes the pattern innovation to meet the needs of this era. The tie-dye technique of the Bai nationality in Dali of Yunnan and the Zigong tie-dye technique in Sichuan have been included in the national intangible cultural heritage by the Ministry of Culture.
