Holy Banyan in Ancient Kiln

It is not necessary to know the height of the big banyan tree growing at the tail of the Ancient Nanfeng Kiln which is not measured. It is green and towering, with the intricate roots. This big banyan tree stands on the top of the Ancient Nanfeng Kiln. It grows on the hard rock without mud and water. It has been staying with the kiln for more than 400 years, and has created many beautiful legends. It is like a giant umbrella, with a dense body, covering the wind and rain, and maintaining the Ancient Nanfeng Kiln and its fire.

Some people say that this big banyan tree is "flying banyan", which is flying from the cool world to benefit the workers on the kiln. Others say that it is planted by the workers themselves to create a cool environment for the high-temperature kiln. No matter where it comes from, the big banyan tree has forged a bond with the workers.

Local residents call it a "Geomancy Tree", which brings the comfort, protects the living and working, and avoids many calamities. There is a proverb in the folks that "Touching the head of the banyan tree to enjoy the leisure and happy life without sorrow!"

Now the banyan tree is green and the kiln fire is red, forming the wonderful scenery in the Ancient Nanfeng Kiln tourist area. Today, the big banyan tree has been bathed in rain and dew for more than 400 years and has still been growing vigorously. It is dancing with the warm wind, and moisturizing the fertile soil of city, where the visitors may enjoy the beautiful and elegant "Chinese famous kilns" and appreciate the "Shiwan ceramics in long history".
